My favorite metric not represented on this graphic is that in those nearly 1,000 hours of acquisition, our clients experienced no downtime for unscheduled maintenance!#preventativemaintenance #solutionsprovider #aerialsurvey #aerialmapping #lidar #bathymetry

For more than a decade, I have managed various projects and programs, all with differing levels of complexity and risk. This week, I kicked off my most difficult project to date…teaching my 15-year-old to drive!Congratulations son on receiving your learner's permit. If you see me looking stressed, this is likely the cause. Check back in a year to see if I delivered a quality product on time and budget! #projectmanagement #driversed #jesustakethewheel

I couldn't have joined Dewberry at a more opportune time. I'm excited about the increased capacity a second CZMIL will provide. If you need support for your topobathy lidar projects, we are here to help.

After 10 weeks, my unplanned sabbatical came to an end last Monday. I am excited to take the next step in my career by joining the GTS Team at Dewberry. While I am thankful for an extended break from work, I am even more grateful for the encouragement from numerous colleagues, as well as the opportunity to interview with several great companies.

I thought five weeks of unemployment deserved an update. After all, I clearly have an abundance of time on my hands. First, I want to thank everyone who has reached out with kind words, opportunities, or just a listening ear. The response has been both encouraging and validating.Over the last month, I have been more present and spent more uninterrupted time with my family than I have in the last several years combined. I have been dominating my kids and their friends in pickleball and am the current reigning champ in the 12-14-year-old age bracket of Beacon Circle. I can consistently complete 70% or more of a crossword puzzle without cheating and am working on learning the Greek alphabet, which should get me a few extra percentage points. I have also finished several books and started on more. However, after a month of actively choosing to unplug from all things work, I am ready to get back to it. Or more specifically, my wife is strongly encouraging me to! So, last week, I began reaching out to many former colleagues and clients. I completed multiple applicationsand scheduled numerous phone calls, which resulted in several interviews. I am continuing the trend this week and am generally optimistic about my next opportunity.

Nearly three years ago, I took a risk and joined a small aviation business that specialized in aircraft maintenance and leasing airplanes to the skydiving industry, but was interested in entering the geospatial market.I developed a business plan and marketing/networking strategy, leveraged existing assets, shifted from a "rental" model to becoming a service provider, and added a revenue stream through staffing.During this time, my segment grew to 22 aircraft and a staff of 30+ professionals. We also produced triple-digit growth, both in flight hours and revenue. This is why I was shocked to receive an email last Monday letting me know I had been terminated from my job. Over the last week and a half of reflecting, I have spent some much-needed time enjoying my family. I have also developed an addiction to pickleball, discovered an affinity for crossword puzzles, and, despite being unemployed, experienced less stress and more relaxation than I have in a very long time.To the Revolution Flight, LLC team: I am grateful for the opportunity to help grow something from the ground up. I'm incredibly proud of what we achieved during my tenure. To all my former clients, thank you for the opportunity to partnerwith you and earn your business.I would love to speak with you if you have/are aware of any opportunities. I don't think it's any mistake that this was the book I was reading when I receivedthe news.I am looking forward to discovering "What To Do Next"!#WhatToDoNext #JeffHenderson

I'm pretty sure Jim invented the phrase "been there, done that"—or if he didn't invent it, he was there for it!Congratulations Jim. Thanks for making us better each and every day.

Just when I think I've got this #aerialsurvey-thing figured out, someone throws us a curveball! We've spent the last nine months planning, collaborating, and educating ourselves in order to help our clients reach their goals. With several hundred hours of low-level data collection in 2024, I'm excited to see what the rest of the year holds!

I'm more than a little jealous of these views, just not the schedule! Thankful for the graveyard shift putting in the hard work.
